Dear Parents and Children,

Welcome to a brand new school year here at Alamo Country School. I am very excited to begin a new chapter in our learning. We have many fun learning activities planned for our school year.

Each week the children will learn a new “letter of the week.” Our circle time, art projects, and books will all center on our letter of the week.

This year we will focus on learning:

Colors
Shapes
Letters
Numbers
Name recognition

We will practice tracing and cutting to help develop our fine motor skills for future writing. We will develop social skills this year by taking turns, sharing, and playing with our friends.

Just some things to remember:

Every Wednesday is our “share day.” Please bring an item from home that begins with the “letter of the week.” Children will have an opportunity to share their item in front of the class.
Every Thursday is our “book day.” Please bring a book from home so it can be read to the class during circle time.
When it comes time for potty training, please let me know, so we can be on the same page. This will help support your child during the transition.
